I have but painted a rather small number of portraits, yet still, many of my paintings on the topic of women are portraits which are flights of my imagination. They symbolize the woman and do not refer to a specific image. A significant part of my work on the topic of the portrait refers to female family members, with the majority of the other paintings in all my series configured and structured around my self-image.
